Vernissage : 16 April 2026 at 18h00
The Kamasutra exhibition by French designer Ionna Vautrin opens at Sessius1622 on April 16, 2026, at the initiative of the Association of Friends of the Château de Cologny.
Industrial designer, Ionna vautrin, strives to tell stories through the families of objects she designs. From the smallest to the largest scale, her creations combine humor, poetry and precision of uses, for private environments as well as for public spaces. In her profession, drawing traces a preliminary path to the design of objects and has the function of representing them. In practice, it also opens up the possibility for Ionna to take side roads and venture onto new playgrounds.
Under the amused line of her fine-tipped felt-tip pen, strange beings with frail bodies, small lively vines topped with disproportionate faces, embrace and relax at will. Acrobats, dancers, matadors, athletes, musicians, yogis, tightrope walkers, trapeze artists… are the superheroes of this cheerful and wild tribe. Universal sketches, fragments of our love lives, these 100 mirrors of our souls send us back the 1001 joyful reflections of our intimate figures …
The 100 illustrated aphorisms of the Kamasutra by Ionna Vautrin are offered to the reader as many droll points of view on the infinite possibilities of his loves. To our loves!
A selection of prints is available for purchase. Proceeds will fund a residency for design students at Sessius1622. This initiative is made possible thanks to the generous contribution of Ionna Vautrin, who has offered her works royalty-free.
Ionna Vautrin will come to open the exhibition in person.
